As a part of additional research, I have collected a series of Magazine front covers, this has helped me recognise different genres, as well as allowing me to pin point the target audience for several Magazine advertisements. I found that rock genre magazines use darker house styles to promote their advertisements, in appose to hip hop magazines, where brighter and bolder colours are used.

I feel this magazine cover is my favourite because it is strong due to the black and white image, bold mast head and colour scheme.

I also enjoy the layout of this music magazine cover as it doesn't have the conventional magazine layout and alignment. The magazines logo is also bigger than conventional, along with the big strap line promoted in a contrasting colour to the black red and white.
